The Foxtails Circus Writing Quest

• Make a list of each of the Foxtail family and what their role in the circus is?

• Make a word list of describing words from The Foxtails Circus (sparkling fireworks, funny clowns, brave acrobats, fluffy fairy floss, flaming rings of fire, daring rocketfox) and build them into a sentence about each of the Foxtail family, and two sentences about the circus scene and action.

• Describe the sights, sounds, and smells of the circus. What does the fairy floss smell and taste like? What does the crowd sound like? What do the fireworks look and sound like? How do the Foxtails sound, look and perform? How does it feel to be inside the big tent with all of the crowd?

• Write a short story or poem about The Foxtails Circus? Remember to use your imagination as well as the picture!

• Imagine you are part of The Foxtails Circus - What would you be in the circus? Which Foxtails would you perform with? Write a short description and draw your own picture.

• Write a letter to Ringmaster Fletcher Foxtail to tell him what you thought of The Foxtails Circus.

• Create your own circus from your imagination - it could be under the sea, in outer space, in the future, full of superheroes, magic, dinosaurs. You could draw a picture or make a plan for your own circus with a list;

• all of the performers and their acts

• where it is located - on earth, in the jungles, outer space, under the sea, in the future or the past?

• is it a night or day circus?

• any amazing surprises or challenges for the audience?

• what food and drinks are available?

• describe the costumes and circus gear
